Demand for appointments has increased over the years, and the doctors are still trying to keep up with these and have made changes to the appointment system to provide a better service. This means the surgery offers convenient access to doctors each morning – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Our walk-in clinic runs between the hours of 08:00am and 11:00am. The final bookings for our walk-in clinic are taken at 10:50am, so please arrive before this time. You will not be able to request to see a certain doctor, but you may request to see a male or female doctor if deemed necessary. Each appointment is for 10 minutes, is for one person, and covers one issue. Patients are seen on a first come basis.
Please do not put unnecessary pressure on the receptionist by demanding to see a certain doctor. If patients need to see a doctor that day you must accept that your appointment will be with the next available doctor who will be working on a rotation basis.
Telephone consultations can also be pre-booked. These are limited. Please remember to leave a contact number that is easily accessible for your return call. You may be asked a few questions by the receptionists so they can leave as much information as possible for the doctors. This enables the doctors to deal with the more urgent cases first.

There will be a limited number of ‘urgent appointments’. Again, please do not demand to see a doctor of your choice. Yes, by all means ask for a certain doctor but please accept that doctor may well be already booked up for that day. While the surgery strives to accommodate patients’ requests, it is impossible to meet all the demands made of them.
You can pre-book an appointment up to four weeks in advance. Each appointment is for 10 minutes and covers one issue. If more than one family member needs to see the doctor, please make a separate appointment for each person. If you would like to discuss two issues then please make a double appointment. Double appointments must be prioritised. Please do remember that although an appointment may be available when you request one, a double appointment might not be as readily available and you may experience a slightly longer waiting period to book a double appointment.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. If you repeatedly do not attend ("DNA") appointments, this will be handled in line with the Surgery's DNA policy.
